La Corde… has launched!!!…
… Every weekday, over 50 impoverished Cloverdale youth frequent the centre, receiving breakfast, lunch, after-school homework assistance, life skills training, goal setting, nutrition workshops and mentoring.
Asmick Jean Jacques and Marie Schaap-Cawlishaw are leading a team of volunteers, coordinating these vital programs.
The goal of la Corde is that kids will achieve academic success as the best way of escaping a cycle of poverty. All of our programs are directed to enable these youth to achieve that goal, by addressing the areas that could cause them to stumble.
In order to reach maximum effectiveness, we need more of you to join our team. Would you consider investing an hour or two of your week in the lives of these kids?
