At the station
Station 7 is abilinugal Christ-based drop-in center for high school aged teens. It is the kind of place where youth can relax and enjoy themselves and their friends in a safe enviornment with adult supervision. At the Center, kids can be at ease. They can run around, play games- and simply be a teenager without being pressured to actany older.
One of our greatest strengths is our ability to help teens through their many struggles in a non-judgemental way. We spend a lot of time listening. When it is possible to involve their parents, we are more than happy to do so.
Station 7 offers avariety of activities; we have pool tables, foose-ball, videogames, air hockey, board games- not to mention a full kitchen and a well-used snack bar! Positive music fills the Center, and special events are always on the calendar.
Each year extra funds are raised in our comunity to send some of Station 7′s young people to Summercamp; which always seems to be a life-impacting experience.
Our rules are simple but firm:
*Respect yourself & others
*No alcohol/No drugs
–>Having stated that,we work with young people on a regular basis who struggle to deal with these very issues. Help by means of intervention, resources and support are provided to the best of our ability. We are currently undergoing trainings on drug and alcohol addiction as well…
